vi is actually my unix choice. But that is because I've used it on and off for 15 years and know enough of the key combinations off the top of my head that can I edit a file from the console without thinking.Originally posted by Wanderer View PostThose two are my choice too for PeeCee stuff.

Essential for us techies when only left with the root slice/partition in rescuing the system. Oh yeah, my guru once told me it's even possible to use it on a teletype printer.
