Got a friend who wants help with her PlanB, what are the methods of choice for running a fee paying subscription website?

Paypal's subscription system is easy to implement and has enough features to cater for any model of site. It also has the benefit of being cheaper than the alternatives.

I used to sell a Plan B app that enabled subscription services for a site and Paypal was by far the most popular option used followed by Worldpay.

Be aware that PayPal have been known to freeze accounts for prolonged periods for no very good reason - it's best to get money transferred away from them ASAP.

I remember seeing a post on here some years ago which said that their Google payments account got suspended because there was no physical delivery of goods involved.
