I used to have the WiFi problem with my original Sanfrancisco, but there was an app that fixed it. Never had it with my Nexus S.

I didn't think much of Chrome, and Flash wouldn't work. I much prefer using Opera Mobile. But if Google make the OS, then what is the original browser if it's not Chrome? Why are they maintaining two browsers?
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

I think the built-in browser is just a basic WebKit implementation, Chrome has quite a lot of features not present in the standard one - see Wikipedia for a list here.

I would guess once all devices are capable of running ICS they may well retire the standard browser in favour of Chrome, but it's probably there to cater for the lower-spec end of the market as I'll bet Chrome is optimized for more powerful hardware.

Chrome seemed okay for a bit but now that's fewked as well.
Bleeding annoying as I use the browser a lot and if I can't get it to work then the phone loses a large part of its usefulness and I might as well get an iPhone and endure the shame of the Apple Brigade's condescending smirks.

When you say it's fewked, what's it doing? I presume you've tried rebooting the phone, does it work okay for a while after a reboot or is it permanently broken now? If so I'd suggest backing up all your data and re-loading ICS onto the device in case it didn't take properly. If that fails there might be a hardware issue so you'd be looking at a warranty repair/replacement.

The thing will load a web page but after a short time it will just close the app. Sometimes it will freeze first if you try to follow a link.

Just taken out the battery and Chrome and Opera seem okay for now. Dolphin still does the same so that's just been uninstalled. Haven't tried the default browser yet but I bet it will not work. I think that when the default browser goes down, then it effects the rest. I don't think it's a specific app problem, it is something to do with the operating system itself. I shall have to back the thing up and see if a factory reset will help.

No problems here, I have ICS 4.0.4 and use Opera Mobile primarily (there are 2 different Opera browsers in the market, don't know the difference,) Firefox, the default and Chrome. I believe chrome is still beta, least ways my one says it is. With this version on my Nexus S I have hardly any problems although I have upgrade my battery to a 3800mh one which makes it twice as thick!

Opera Mini is the one for slow connections and/or less powerful phones that routes everything through Opera's servers to "pre-render" and compress things. Which seems to work better than it sounds. And Opera Mobile is just the normal browser.

I think it's that way round.

Hah! Chrome seems to be hanging together well now so stop waving your iPhone with its annoyingly well thought out and fully tested OS at me.
