    They heard some tool say that the PC was dying and everyone was going to tablets, so they thought they'd make their OS into a tablet touch screen OS. Who makes the decisions there, a 13 year old?

          Hardly scientific. Let's see him using XP/7 for comparison... considering he tries to look at the screen from different angles he looks like a typical dad trying to use ANY computer... in fact it is reminiscent of my dad when W95 first came out!
          He didn't even try pushing the start key on the keyboard!

            t be honest I never knew what that key really did until we had a thread about Windows shortcuts here.
