    Raspberry Pi?

Anyone else thinking about buying one of these to mess about with??

    What’s a Raspberry Pi?
The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. It’s a capable little PC which can be used for many of the things your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays high-definition video. We want to see it being used by kids all over the world to learn programming.
I'll be buying one to play around with, and at just $25 with profits going to charity, i reckon we all should!!

What's the spec? CPU, RAM etc....
Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.

            Model A has 128MiB RAM, Model B 256MiB
            Both have a 700MHz ARM11 CPU
Model B has an ethernet port as well, A doesn't.

            Detailed spec is here.

This project looks like Tony Blair circa 1997: attractive in principle, much labour, no delivery.
<Insert idea here> will never be adopted because the politicians are in the pockets of the banks!

I really like the idea but have little desire to buy one... I already have a PC I can play around on to my heart's content.

Yes I think that, it's a nice idea but if you already have access to a spare PC or virtual machine running linux it doesn't seem to offer anything over and above that unless you're looking for a standalone board to use in some sort of project. Still if it's only £20 I might as well buy one
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
