Windows can run OS X through virtualisation as well so you could save money and buy a PC and run OS X when you want to impress some young birdOriginally posted by NickFitz View PostMacs can run Windows either natively or through virtualisation, so there's no loss involved. That's a myth.Originally posted by amcdonald View PostBut it would be a lot cheaper
For example, both with 6 core Westmere & 6GB ram:
Apple Mac Pro = £3202
Dell Precision T7500 = £3157
Not much in it really..."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

And another one:
Macbook Pro 15" w/ 2.2 I7 & 8GB ram = £2129
Dell Precision M4500 w/ 2.13 I7 & 8GB RAM = £2190
Both with 750GB HD and 1GB graphics."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment
