    Small Android Tablets

There's a few about at the moment but do you think it's worth waiting a bit for all the 1st gen models to be improved?

My 3 year old is fixated with my HTC desire and all the free educational apps available so I was thinking of getting her a tablet device as I'm getting a bit nervous with the way she handles my £400 phone! Anyone else thought about it?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

I'll be looking to get one next year but waiting until after CES in January when the new stuff will be announced. I expect many more choices and features to appear over the coming months.

      WHS.

Next year’s a good time to buy a notebook, netbook

New technology promised by both AMD and Intel next year means two things – at least. There will be bargains on notebooks and netbooks to be had when AMD introduces Fusion products and when Intel goes full on with Sandy Bridge. These technologies also promise far better performance if you’re one of those who simply must have better technology.

Intel and AMD are likely to make announcements on their roadmaps at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in early January.

well that is notebooks rather than tablets really.

I think CES will bring the tablets but the software won't arrive until Honeycomb is released.

Have a look at the orange San Francisco phone. Its only £100 and many people have raved about them.

If its for a littlun', why not just look on eBay for a last gen iPod Touch, cheap, millions of educational apps, pretty robust, really simple to use.

All the android tablets I've looket at are utter crap (not to say they won't release some good ones in the future).

For a kiddy winky a 2nd hand or refurbed iPod Touch is perfect.
