    All the android tablets I've looket at are utter crap (not to say they won't release some good ones in the future).

    For a kiddy winky a 2nd hand or refurbed iPod Touch is perfect.

    well that is notebooks rather than tablets really.

    I think CES will bring the tablets but the software won't arrive until Honeycomb is released.

    Have a look at the orange San Francisco phone. Its only £100 and many people have raved about them.

    Next year’s a good time to buy a notebook, netbook

    New technology promised by both AMD and Intel next year means two things – at least. There will be bargains on notebooks and netbooks to be had when AMD introduces Fusion products and when Intel goes full on with Sandy Bridge. These technologies also promise far better performance if you’re one of those who simply must have better technology.

    Intel and AMD are likely to make announcements on their roadmaps at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in early January.

    There's a few about at the moment but do you think it's worth waiting a bit for all the 1st gen models to be improved?

    My 3 year old is fixated with my HTC desire and all the free educational apps available so I was thinking of getting her a tablet device as I'm getting a bit nervous with the way she handles my £400 phone! Anyone else thought about it?
