Install Avast anti virus for free and get MS Office Pro Student licence from Pugh for £33 + delivery. Or office 2003 from Ebay for £30 if you don't like *.docx, *.xlsx and Office 2010's pants front end.
        Sorted.

                  Next question :
The current laptop has valid office 2007 professional on, multi license (3 I think).

Can I un-install from old lappy and just bang it on the new one ? Or is the license tied to the machine ?

Do you think MS really cares?

If you have a licensed CD of office, I'd just remove it from the old lappy and put it on the new one.

I'm 99% sure it will work just fine. I seem to remember 2007 requires online activation so they would know it's installed, but easiest is to simply install on the new PC, try to activate it and see what happens. I believe you can phone MS to sort these things out if you have a license but it won't allow it, you can with Windows licenses anyhow.
