Anyone else finding gmail slow suddenly?

Since yesterday it's very sluggish for me, the "Loading" label typically hovering for several seconds when viewing a folder or deleting a message. Normally it is near-instant, and other web-browsing is not noticeably different from normal.
I noted some updates on gmail, wondered if this is widespread or just me?

I think there is an issue with IE. On my laptop and the client Server 2008 Terminal Servers Gmail often hangs since about 10 days ago. Firefox is fine. I have other websites with the same issue.

I often use a slow connection with gmail, so I use the "show inbox as static text" lab feature.

This throws up a static version of your mail so you can have a quick look whilst it's loading. Quite handy.
