Google links not working after IE8 upgrade ...

Well I've been a bit naughty and upgraded IE8 over IE6 at work, contrary to company policy - mainly to view this site properly it must be said
All seems well except if I search in Google.
The Google search works well enough but if I click on any link found by Google, it takes forever to show - actually maybe doesn't show at all, I don't have the patience to check.
If I use crappy Bing, the links work well.

    Anyone got any idea why?
    Hard Brexit now!

Hopefully you haven't got malware on the machine but there is a really vicious spyware app at the moment that takes control of any google searches and adds multiple redirects (to high paying porn sites) in the middle.

If they use automatic proxy configuration, it might be that you need to rejig your proxy settings because the script doesn't work fully in IE8 or something. You might try setting the proxy manually.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Hmm. I had some weird redirects going on last week. On a Windows system too...
