Windows 7 God Mode

Stumbled across this today. Certainly a better alternative than navigating the control panel.

Not found the option that increases your post count to 5000 yet though.

Copy the following text: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Make a new folder on your desktop, then paste the text so it names your folder the above.
Click somewhere else so the folder accepts the name. Your icon will change and your folder will become a button that will get you into the settings easier.

You should now be able to get to almost all, if not all of the settings inside Windows 7 through this location.

According to Steven Sinofsky of MS, there are a number of such undocumented settings shortcuts (although GodMode is obviously the overarching one)

I'd be careful what you type in then.


Maybe he meant you need to type it into the search box on the start menu. Though that doesn't work for me anymore than yours did.

He assures me he tested it first, and it works.

Also that he spell-checked it up to normal CUK standards.
