The only really foolproof way to clean up a PC running Windows and restore performance is to wipe the drive and reinstall from scratch.Originally posted by kaiser78 View PostWhat are the best tools for PC tuning, ie defragging, hard disk clean up, windows registry clean up etc etc ? 1. Install fresh Windows.
2. Put up VMWare and install Windows inside it, install the minimum necessary software you need.
3. Save that virtual image for future reference.
4. If your current virtual image becomes slow then fall back to old one, don't forget to copy your document files though.

Not my thing - but certainly a lot of other people's thing - and it sucks!
Almost as bad as gaming on a Mac !
