Just been checking... upgrade time is coming up for me

Looks like it could be "free" if you spend over ~£600 on a laptop although that doesn't include accidental damage which is about £240 on a >£1500 laptop
Which is good, I had to haggle for mine to be included in the price 2 years ago and that was on a top spec precision.

Still, best off checking with the sales drones first and get everything in writing. They can be flexible on the price if you're spending a bit.

Have you considered a third of a Mac?
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

I paid £539 (incl VAT) for a brand new laptop with the below specs.

            Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T6400 (2GHz) with 800MHz FSB with 2MB Cache/3GB DDR2 800MHz RAM/320GB SATA 5400RPM HDD/13.4” HD (1366 x 768) SuperBright© Gloss LED 16:9 Display/256MB DDR3 Dedicated NVIDIA GeForce G 105M

IMHO, it is a good spec for the price - by all means, please post links to laptops with a better spec for the price!

As a counterpoint to pzz, I've never had an HP laptop that didn't fail at some point.

The HP printer I have is marvellous though...

Of course this is going to be a better spec laptop as it is in a higher price bracket.

FFS, the quality of trolls on this board is shocking!

No tulip, and in not in any way a counter to MM, my HP laptops have been fine but I have a LJ4+ and a 1200c multi that need fixing.

My Cannon MP240 multi has works like a dream, despite being forced through appox 25 airports and countries etc.
