    Insertions, deletions and updations

    SQL Question...

    "Updations". Anyone heard this word used? I've heard this word used by two different people at different times in my IT career. Is this a real word?

    It's a word used by Indian's who have been taught it is a real English word by their schools in India, when in actual fact it is a heinous corruption of the queens English and makes my blood boil whenever I hear it, or see it in a document.

    SAY NO!!!! to updation!!!!

        Yes. That confirms the source. I can see the logic but the word just feels wrong.

        Take those tablets, I will mention the word no more.
