What spec should I be looking for around 400 sheets? Not bothered about games but ability to edit photos and video without it taking 25 years would be nice - don't need a monitor etc, just base unit, about 500GB HD fast as poss.

Don't have time to build it myself sadly.

I can recommend these folk- http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/

I hadn't bought an assembled PC for about 9 years until recently when I specced up a Vista Core 2 Duo PC on that web site and I found they could build it for the same price I could buy just the components for. HTH.

For £400 you really just want to look at the CPU and more importantly the RAM. I think you can just get a quad-core and 3Gb on your budget if you just want a base unit... but for that you aren't going to get an exciting case or anything flashy. Just a decent CPU and a fair wodge of memory.

You might try Kelkoo just to get a rough idea.
