    Saving website pictures

Not sure how to explain this, but here goes.

On some websites, when you click an image to make it bigger, the image 'expands' in front of you. I think it is flash based.

How can you save a copy of the bigger image?

An example of what I mean can be seen by going to the below website, and clicking any of the images with a blue cross in th etop left hand corner.

On the URL you've given, it's just a matter of right-clicking on the enlarged image and selecting "Save Picture As..." (IE) or "Save Image As..." (Firefox). Just like you'd capture an image normally.

Other websites may use different methods that may not allow you to do this.

On the page you link to, they're doing it with JavaScript - if I right-click on the big image, I can save it with the usual menu.

          Thanks for the responses guys.

The site I was accessing had disabled the Save As option and I thought it was due to the photo being displayed, as NickFitz has pointed out, via JavaScript.

Got round it by viewing the image properties which kindly included the URL of the image.

Out of curiosity, I just right clicked, Copy Image, and then pasted it straight onto a MS Word page, full size. No problem.

So, not the one you provided as an example? I'm intrigued

Care to share the URL? PM me if you don't want to share it with everybody...

But you don't really want to do that with a lossy JPEG now do you - you'll have to re-save it and lose yet more quality in the process.
