    There are some apps that are incompatible with a 64bit OS, so manufacturers put 32bit on..

        Only if you have 4GB or more of RAM, IMO..

        FWIW, I am running Vista64 on my laptop (Vostro 1700, 4GB) and it is rock solid.. For those apps that don't run, I use VMWare with XP..
