Sap - How did you learn/start?

Is it possible to learn Sap at home using cbt stuff? Or do you really have to find several grand for the courses?

No. Yes. (Unless you're already in a company that's starting to roll out SAP...)

Actually, it depends. If you expect to be an end user, then a book will do. If you're expecting to earn money off the back of it then you need to invest.

IMHO the courses are a bit of a waste of time unless you know the basics.

Best way is to join a company that already has it or is currently implementing it and go from there.

The courses (in the UK) tend to be a bit of a jolly for permies who want to start late and finish early.
