          I am asking a wrong question here, I think

          As there tool that supports 'required details' to satisfy THE TAXMAN if they have a query on mileage claims... or there is no much requirement as log as you produce something with records in some form.

            Damn you. Beaten to the punch. But, I imagine Bob will post shortly to undercut us with his proposal for a 'Millage Log'. However, I suspect the requirements might come out as similar to :-

            Provide the capability to track the number of grains of wheat that pass through the mill!!!!
