    Taxes due on importing a laptop from EU (Germany)?

    Been looling a Tuxedo laptops, have prices that exclude German taxes; what taxes should I expect on the UK import side?

    Presumanly UK VAT @ 20%
    Import duty @ ? %

    Anybody have any experience of importing electronics from the EU?

    Based on my experience, you'll probably have nothing to pay. Since it's probably over £135, it will automatically get stuck for a while, supposedly in customs. But it's a bit of a joke. They seem to just let everything through, without any charges, presumably because they can't actually deal with it. Welcome to post-Brexit Britain.

      It says just VAT but there maybe an admin charge from the courier as well to the tune of 10-15 quid.
