Alternatives to Atom IDE for MacOS

Seems six months ago Atom announced they were retiring Atom next month, can anyone recommend a low profile IDE for MacOS with an addon that has terminal access within the same window? I am not a hardcore coder, just update basic jode.js / 11ty sites which I commit to github etc.

Yep, just realised VS Code is not the full blown over weight Visual Studio of the past

I tried it for C# and it was awful but I have heard a lot of good commentary on it so it seems the obvious choice to try in your scenario.

It's bad for C#, I think M$ want to steer people towards Visual Studio for .NET

VS Code is great for TypeScript/JavaScript and Python though.

+1 VS Code is designed for JavaScript and python.

visual studio and jetbrains rider are the tools for C# development -it why the visual studio community edition still exists.
