4G routers and directional antennas.

Can anyone suggest a 4G Router and a very narrow beam directional antenna combo. I Need to be able to connect to BSCs further away than the saturated ones on race days.

Usually this is my domain, but have no idea of consumer grade kit and the Pro stuff costs as much as a car. There seems to be a couple of Huawei routers that fit the bill but most directional antennas (consumer grade) are making ludicrous claims of 30 dBi which is not reassuring.

(I can pay ADAC a staggering amount of money for a pit lane feed or stream from BMW M’s Website for Video and GPSguage for telemetrics. )

30dBi sounds reasonable according to

for an 80% efficient 60cm dish at 5GHz.

It's got a 6 degree beam so you'd need to point it rather accurately.

30dBi is in reality about 27 and bit dBd, they spec it as dBi to make the number betterer.

Can you not take an omni directional one (or wide beam) and stick a parabolic dish behind it?

There's a 4 foot diameter steel dish in my garden that would work well for that.

It's a 10GHz reflector so should be ok at 5GHz.
