ah, thanks for the welcome guys. sorry for the late reply. got screwed up by agents and have been running around like headless chicken for the past few weeks.

the start date written in the contract was just something the agent dreamed up and was never agreed with client... so i turned up on the first day and the client was like...none of your stuff has been processed, we can't start you just yet....

and guess what, the agent then went completely offline.... so i had to hunt for another contract. few weeks later i found myself a new contract and the agent called me up and gave me another agreed start date (without actually asking me...) so i basically told him....hmmm....no?

but anyway, that's all in the past now, im now on track with my new contract. have to do some travelling tho (7 hours each way), but money seems to worth it.

reply to NLUK, i was referring to personal ISA account can now be filled with company dividend instead of a few pounds which i had to squeeze from premie wage.

it's an engineering course, it's the maths that matters

I presume you are buying shares with your personal money and not the company money. Would it not be wiser to keep the money in the business account and build up a solid warchest up first? You are still a risk as a first timer so is it wise to withdraw it all and sink it in to something that won't realize the benefits and possibly be a loss if you have to sell them during a long stint on the bench? (and incurr tax if you go over your dividend basic level of course)

    Apart from that hello!!
