Hi Robot, welcome to CUK. Since this is your first contract in the UK, I would suggest starting off with an umbrella company that will be able to help you, rather than diving in to setting up your own limited company.

New from Sydney to London
Hi all.
I have been reading the threads and information elsewhere and was wondering if recruiters in addition to employers have gotten in trouble via the IR35 by hiring contractors who look and act like employees?
I have recently moved here for a 2 year work visa and noticed all recruiters trying to find me roles and for me to set up a Limited company or use an umbrella. At the moment I did land a contract role starting Monday and the recruiter did not mention anything about IR35 nor anything in my best interest about that it seems. I was looking into the best option for me either company or umbrella and am still deciding at the moment.
I just find it interesting how the market is. So different to Australia it seems.
From what I have read I will go with Paystream to set up the company and then try to find a perm role whilst I get some experience in this short term contract. Any tips at all?
