if the TV has an HDMI input, should be no bother.

I started using a 40" 4K tv as my monitor at home after I accidentally knocked my 49" ultrawide display off my desk causing a massive crack. That was about 2 years ago, and I've seen no reason to replace it yet.

It worked perfectly with OSX and Windows, but Linux didn't recognise the refresh rate and I needed to generate an Xorg config manually. After that though, it's been plain sailing.

    TV/Monitor Advice please

I'm looking to put a new TV (standard freeview -32 inch max) in my bedroom, using one of those extending arm brackets. I have a Raspberry pi games console setup that I know will work but was wondering about connecting my laptop to it via HDMI for an occasional bigger screen. Will this work with a TV generally or should I for get the idea or come up with another solution? The games console has Kodi so could use the telly that way I guess.
    Many thanks.
