Tell us - did you eat before or did you wait?
I would have eaten it before the meeting myself, yes there is the risk of falling asleep at the meeting, but that's better than being so irritable and agreeing to anything in the hope they meeting will finish early and you could get to your food!!
If someone sends me an invite during my lunch time (mind you I don't have a fixed lunch time) I'd send them a cheeky reply and tell them if they are providing lunch/sandwiches during the meeting.
