    Morning.

    Tuesday?

    Dry.

    Grey.

    Wanly sunny (using some imagination).

Chilly in here at 17.5 deg, 17.5 in the kitchen, 16.5 in the leanto, 15.5 in the salting house.

1025 mBar, 30.27 in Hg, 768.8 Torr, 14.866 psi, (up from 1023.5 last night), 65% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 23rd of February 2020 LM watched a prog about the V&A, xogg's nephew worked there, eek and BR14 popped in, I had some rice pud, and NF had crinkle cut chips.

Washing frenzy Part Deaux in progress.

Walk (unabreviated, towpath) walked in the grey gloom. Two actual conversations on the way back. Probly my lot for this week.

    Morning everyone

Grey and dull here - looks like it's about to drizzle.

I've gone into the office to see a different set of four walls for the day. Luckily it's fairly quiet and the shoutiest service desk and HR types aren't in right now.

    Morning all

    Did you miss me?
    Quick summary:
BA new Club Suites are good
Old Qatar Business is better (as is there level of service)
Tired old BA 380 business is not how I remembered it.
About 4,200 photos taken, which will be whittled down to a hundred or so. Much wine consumed, much wildlife viewed.

    Did I miss anything here?

    Morning denizens

Another grey day. It looks as if there may have been some rain overnight, but I suppose it could be heavy dew. No rain forecast today but the cloud is expected to persist, and it's gradually getting cooler: it may be 10°C now but the high will only be 15°. The barometers are steady at 1019/1026mB

Read some more of Ossian's Ride. It's an entertaining read, but I keep thinking that the fundamental premise of the story seems very unlikely, even rather ridiculous. I suspect it'll all make sense eventually though; there are foreshadowings of something far beyond the ken of the narrator…

    Goodnight all

Tea has been a sausage casserole that I made up as I went along, with herby dumplings. It turned out very nicely, though I still haven't quite got the knack of making dumplings

To go with this, a bit of NEW! Traffic Cops

Another day done! Only three more until my break

This afternoon was only marginally productive as the other dev has Vodafone broadband, and thus has had no broadband at all for the last couple of hours. I was looking at some tests that need adjusting in light of a new feature we're adding, but I don't really understand them very well without her guidance so although I got some stuff done, I'm still not sure it's right

    Afternoon all.

Rather grey and dull here today. I have a chronic dose of CBA-itis too - luckily I'm helping out in an interview later which will kill some time.

Sausage rolls and reduced chocolate mousse from Asda for lunch. That did nicely!

Lunch has been leftover belly pork bits in a wholemeal bap with apple sauce

There was an entire star anise from roasting still stuck to the pork, which I didn't notice and chewed down on. So everything tastes a bit aniseedy now

It's the Trumpian takeover of CUK.

    Morning.

    Monday apparently.

    Dry.

    Grey.

    Sunless.

Chilly in here at 16.7 deg, 16.5 in the kitchen, 15 in the leanto, 13 in the saltinghouse.

1024.5 mBar, 30.25 in Hg, 768.44 Torr, 14.859 psi, (down from 1025 last night), 65% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 23rd of February 2020 AndyGarbs and BR14 popped in, my garage & next door's shed were both very wet, LM was in a washing frenzy, NF enjoyed his latest batch of zingy soup, and I contemplated getting rid of The Corolla (Needless to say: it's still there), and spent some happy hours collecting cans and bottles on the road up to the res, this being just before The Trauma of The Leg.

    Washing frenzy in progress.

I see that Sounds has been afflicted with entuliptification: what used to be a seamless progression though Infinite Monkey Cage now requires a return to the programme page to continue through the offerings. Brilliant. Though the floating player thing does do that, it gets a bit confusing since it points to the original ep when playing the next.

Freecell score: 93%, running average: 84%.

    Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: Monday links.

Walk (towpath, unabbreviated) walked in the grey gloom, though I did see a vague shadow at one point & picked up an accessory for my left shoe at another.

Now getting outside a mug of mediocre but consistent coffee.

    Washing frenzy complete.

Tea: chicken in white sauce etc. It was rather nice today.

    Entertainment: PM.

    "Land (2021)".

Oak Island nutjobbery. Liked that. Don't live in the wilderness if you don't know how to survive. . There's been Monday Links about that.

NCIS Origins S1 E1. I somehow doubt I'll be watching much of this. It's the Gibbs Gibbs Gibbs/Mike Franks origin story. Probably with actors who look nothing like them.

Inneresting enough, but it's streaming on Paramount+ so that was just a hook.

It's a grey and misty morning out; everywhere looks as damp as if it had been drizzling all night, but it hasn't. The temperature is, and will be, roughly in the now-standard range: currently 10°C, aiming for 16° for a brief period this afternoon. The barometers are tiptoeing down at 1019/1027mB
