HWMBO agreed yesterday that the trip to Toledo today wasn't a good idea. Not sure what we will do today but it will involve me finding and posting a postcard to my Mum. If anyone else ever wants postcards from my travels, I'm always happy to add people to the mailing list!

Morning all
TFIF, etc.
CBS, sunshine, but an autumnal chill in the air - it was 13C when we went out earlier.
No birthdays this weekend.

Morning denizens
A sunny day today! Well, until lunchtime when it'll cloud over. No rain predicted though. It's 13°C and aiming for 19°, while the barometers have bounced back all the way to 1006/1014mB
Off to do the shopping in a bit. Neither the Royal Mail nor Evri seem to have got around to scheduling any deliveries yet, so with luck I'll be back before they don't bother arriving

Tonight's viewing was more of the fare dodger thing. I'll have watched all of that soon, and will have to find something useful to do instead
And later, I read a bit more Rumpole
Early night now, as I want to get the shopping out of the way first thing so I can be home in time for various delivery services to send me messages saying I'm not in
Goodnight all

Tea has been ribeye steak with chips, fried onions, and beans
Royal Mail have proved a broken reed; I just got a message stating that they were unable to deliver as my address was inaccessible
They should have been here by 19:30 so I put off cooking until then, after which I assumed they were unlikely to arrive. I suppose it's true that it's not possible to access my address when you're back at the delivery office on the other side of the city

HWMBO is on the mend after much sleeping. Fluids are staying where they ought to so he hopes to be able to manage a bit of dinner this evening.

Another old lady infested morning playing Mahjong at village cafe. Do a bit of gardening (yawn!) before me walky.
Boring small business accounts taking ages, if it wasn't what's keeping me sister going I'd give up. Ain't much profit.Last edited by xoggoth; Yesterday, 13:12.

Lunch: a Pukka steak slice
The Royal Mail have thrown a spanner in the works by saying they'll deliver an item at teatime, between quarter to six and half seven. I suppose I can go shopping once they've turned up and have tea a bit later as, to the best of my knowledge, I'll still be getting another delivery some time tomorrow. Mind you, tomorrow's is by Evri, so if I'm out they'll probably just dump it in the big flowerpot by the front door anyway

Sunny again. Currently 22 degrees ('feels like' 25) with a high of 29 expected. Barometer down to 1016 mBar.

HWMBO has food poisoning. He just about made it through the day at work yesterday and then spent the rest of the day throwing up. Luckily he doesn't have work again until Monday and today was always planned to be a flumping day because we were expecting hangovers after a big night out (which had to be cancelled). He thinks he'll be well enough for our planned day trip to Toledo tomorrow but I think it's unwise. It'll be 31 degrees which is not a good temperature when you're already dehydrated. He's drinking the pharmacy recommended electrolyte sachets that also have probiotics to help rebalance the gut bacteria.
