Lunch: pork cutlet in a wholemeal bap with apple sauce

Very variable weather today. It turned cloudy earlier, now it's brightening up again. Still breezy

    Morning all

Sunny with occasional fluff balls wafting past. Quite breezy. Currently 13 degrees ('feels like' 10) and that's the high for the day. Cloud cover set to increase as the day progresses. Barometer down to 1005 mBar.

    Sunrise 06:46; Sunset 16:43 GMT

Once again, the battle commences to get my heating controls to recognise what the time is. It has some nonsense time signal update that overwrites the settings and it's hard to fathom what time zone it actually thinks it's in. It'll take me a week or so of trying options, waiting for the 12 hourly update to see if they stick and trying again.

Oh, and HWMBO is on his way back to Glasgow.

Morning all a very pleasant walk has been had without the need for a head torch. A couple of weeks before it will be required in the morning, but it will be an evening necessity now - one that I don't mind.
11C with a few clouds when we went out, 10C and clear skies now. Not much of a breeze.

    Morning denizens

Very windy out, with some clouds and some sky and possibly some light rain in a few minutes. It's 9°C but "feels like" 0°, but the wind should ease off this afternoon so maybe the high of 12° will feel a bit more like itself. The barometers are down at 991/999mB

Read more of Heathern in which the parallels to the present day are getting even stronger as the trillionaire owner of Dryco goes to extreme lengths to secure the technology needed to create AI

This afternoon was largely given over to various bits of PHP stuff

Monday tomorrow, and back to work for me

    Goodnight all

Went to visit lady next door. Seemed surprisingly cheerful considering the news. Village club after, chat with her husband & other usual lot.

Took me longer doing footpath report than inspection itself. Making sense of my scrawlings, getting lat/lon locations from photos, converting to OS etc.

Lunch has been a roast beef bap

It was going to be the rest of the salmon but I put it out on the side when arranging stuff in the fridge last night and forgot to put it back in. As it's been at room temperature all night and morning, I decided it wasn't worth risking it

Nice to be back on proper time again.

Off to see Mum. She's been hiding patio door keys, stashing toilet roll in the wardrobe and roaming the house at 2am.
