There was some wildlife stuff on this afternoon

And tonight I finished The Parable of the Sower in which they managed to get somewhere there was a possibility of building a life on the ruins of society, and started on The Parable of the Talents in which the saga continues

The wind and relative mildness plus the clouds blocking out the sun have resulted in the bedroom getting down to a mere 20°C for the first time in weeks!

Monday tomorrow, but no work for me!

Well, not ClientGov work, though I have Things To Do

I had a few spells of tiredness today, but apparently the cholesterol drug has an unusually long half-life so it takes a few days to get it out of your system

Rain here lasted less than 5 minutes. Not gonna do much for the plants. Free day today, boring morning fixing some patio slabs.

Very windy overnight and then at 7am it started to rain. It stopped about 15 mins later and then it was a mix of drizzle and just damp air until 10am. Now clearing.

Raining! The wind is such that it's coming down at a jaunty angle. The ground is so dry I doubt it'll make much difference.

Morning denizens

There’s quite a bit of cloud but some of it is clearing, so it’s tending towards sunny spells. There was a brief shower not long ago, though nothing more along those lines is expected. It’s also very breezy, so the current 19°C “feels like” 15° and the expected high for the day is a mere 21°. The barometers are down a touch more at 991/999mB

Cloudy with fleks of grey and a stuff breeze. Current 20 degrees ('feels like' 24) with a high of 23 expected. It might rain but it's a slim chance. Barometer down to 1006 mBar.

Walk (abbreviated, 3 miles) walked in the coolth of the breeze. There were puddles! Nearly needed a duffle coat to avoid hypothermia. Another conversation with the couple I spoke with yesterday.

He's getting angry enough to attract the attention of the police. All his unidentifiable food was confiscated before they let him in. Yet another NZ chap with previous convictions: guess where he's going (hint: it ain't across the border).

This afternoon’s wildlife viewing was largely on dry land, though for some reason they brought David Attenborough back despite having just spent a month repeating everything they had involving him

Tea has been brought to me from the Chinese restaurant in town

Mum decided that the bowl of cereal she made for herself, put down, forgot about then rediscovered half an hour later was from yesterday and threw it out. She refused to make herself any breakfast so I made a bacon sandwich which was inhaled.

Bed linen has been washed, dried on the line, and put away. Perfect drying weather out there.

I was going to go to Tesco but decided I couldn't be bothered and booked a delivery for tomorrow afternoon.
