Indeed, I normally ask agents to call me back after I finish work as I am unable to talk in the office, if there's a real role they will otherwise (as is the case all too often) they wont.

Its only annoying when you're in contract.Originally posted by sky View PostAgain somwone called and ask about who is your client, manager. How can we stop them. Its waste of time and we may miss the genuine calls if we keep receiving these spammers.
It tends to be less annoying if you're benched.
Anyway, just say, politely, that you cannot disclose confidential info. Say you have a "no-names policy"!
Just be wary, if you are impolite, you may not be the first contact on the agents list when a genuine contract comes along.
It's all part of the game. It's entirely possible to deflect a sales call without being rude.

Mr Number is a great app for Android. Block numbers or send them straight to voicemail.
Any withheld numbers or numbers beginning 0843 etc I send to voicemail. If it's important they will leave a message but most just hang up.

have a PAYG mobile for agencies and put on your CV.
The good ones you can give your real phone number to when you start the dance.

Live with it.
Good contracts will call again if they can't get through the 1st time.
You have to wade through a lot of muck to find the diamond.

Hang up on them.
Or don't answer the phone - if it's genuine they will leave a message or send you an email.
