    Crapita

Exactly. Accurate journalism worthy of the Wail. In my experience consultancies take cuts of well over 50%.

A lot of pretty presentations and clever Excel sheets that you didn't need or ask for in my experience.

Is this the woman that presided over the Royal Mail till system that has massive errors and caused a woman to go to jail because the system could not be wrong so she must have been stealing...

Can't wait for her influence I thought the MOD were getting better

They'd at least chuck in a free car crash to go with it, though.

I don't see what the fuss is about. Having been CIO at Royal Mail and TfL she's clearly a bit more than an IT consultant and knows the ground when it comes to dealing with whitehall. I'd say £2k a day for a short term contract is pretty reasonable for someone at that level given they will pay a consultancy half that for someone like me.

I think the government needs to become familiar with the actual meaning of phrases like "flexible labour force" and "market rate". They seem to be under the impression that rates only move downwards when you do away with conventional employment arrangements.

    Yes, and that's ok too.

It is also possible that he is paid so much because he'll have to pay PAYE on it.

    Caught by IR35 or HMRC

I wonder if she is: MoD IT consultant paid £2,000 a day to cover civil servant's job | UK news | The Guardian

Or does she have an 'agreement?' Does she have to wait weeks for security clearance? I thought that there were some rules about contracting for government bodies to do with rates?

Working...
