It's the day after Thanksgiving in the US, which makes sense as it means cashing in on peoples' desire to do anything to get away from their family - much like Boxing Day sales here. It's also a holiday. I don't understand why we're having it here on a work day; I guess with halloween and now Black Friday, it's only a matter of time until we start celebrating Thanksgiving too.
