I'm not opposed to the concept, just the implementation and cost. Although I like mowing the lawn.

It's not the size, it's how hard it works, and the area it coversOriginally posted by d000hg View PostA grand for an 18cm mower?!
On a serious note, it seems to use batteries, so you just swap them and send them out again. A grand seems a lot now, but I am sure they will drop in price once they are more widely used.

Maybe get one this these in a year or so, and watch it run around the block. We use the iRobot Roomba for vacuum needs. Pretty good piece of kit. Only misses a few corners due to it's round shape, and it cannot fly up and down the stairs..Originally posted by Pondlife View PostBeen using mine every weekend for the past few weeks. That and mowing the fecker.

I don't think I want the gardener to bob my uncle.Originally posted by sasguru View PostGet a gardener to do it every two weeks. well worth the money. Mows the lawn, weeds the flower beds, cleans the patio and bob's yer uncle.
Has UK had a hosepipe ban recently, I don't recall hearing about them since I was a kid... if there is one do the water company send out letters? Maybe they just don't have them up north.
