Yep, cos usually we get to finish our contracts since we're good at our jobs.That was the jest of it - still 9/10 will get away with it as it seems most contractors wont pursue.

'Every little helps' - which will shed light on the client (& the very well known large agency).
In summary;
'the contract terms must be issued prior to taking up the contract under Agency Regulations' - it therefore follows that the agency/client are not at liberty to unilaterally change the terms after appointment.
That was the jest of it - still 9/10 will get away with it as it seems most contractors wont pursue.
