Don't be too sniffy about the Wilko's home brand - they're made by Muntons who also make the best home kits on the market - Festival beers (£23 a pop).

And for the best 30 bottle wine kits you should expect to pay upwards of £70...

You talked to an assistant and asked, that's it now we know for sure you are a Girlie!

Strange the discount signs don't mention Fathers Day, the other ones in their store do?

Last time they discounted them they discontinued the Young's kits and replaced them with Wilco branded (which had been on the shelf before) this time they have wilco branded beer/wine.

    call me suspicious!

I got another Wherry, a couple of wine kits and general bits and bobs.

That's me sorted for the summer - I'm off to brew some BBQ hooch this weekend
    Me too, thanks again.

(I haven't seen the rebranding, but knowing the general tension in HBers between loyalty to their local homebrew shops and innate tightness, Wilco's need to tread carefully about increasing the price - only newbies will fall for that once.)

Went down yesterday and Thanks to Cojack I am now £80 poorer but I have some kegs,Demijohns, weird wines, sugar at £1 and enough beer to keep me quiet.

I suspect rather than it being a over stock its a rebrand push, with Tesco now doing home brew I think Wilko's are doing their own brand beer 'ibrew' which of course is twice the normal price, but it does have their new patronising advertising style which suggests how you should use the product.

iBrew Beer, lets get pissed (in a month terms, conditions may apply)!

I'm waiting for the new strapline on the toilet plungers.
