I mostly got sci-fi out of my system as a schoolboy. My father was a fan and had loads of sci-fi books, and I read many of them at the time - typical stuff like Asimov, Bradbury, and those Analog books of shorter stories.Originally posted by Lockhouse View PostDefinitely.
I've read a few new ones over the years since, but I am no longer particularly interested. I've heard of some contemporary sci-fi writers, but not Iain Banks. His name meant absolutely nothing to me until it was reported that he was ill.

My favourites have coffee shops in them. I enjoy sitting and previewing my purchases.Originally posted by Pogle View PostHave you ever been in a bookshop?
