For your information:

-Iraqis in this country are mainly secular and come from various backgrounds (go find out their denominations if you haven't been watching the news for the last 10 years)
-Iranians in this country are generally not very interested in religion
-Indonesians really don't care for Shariah law
-there is probably about 76 Omanis in the whole of the UK - one of whom is the Wigan goalkeeper.

The Chinese & Sikhs/Hindus seem more middle class than the muslims concentrated in the sink estates.

Ok, that's not correct as it isn't Pakistanis who want an Islamic state, it is muslims.

Some pakistanis just happen to be muslims. Not all of them want independence either.

Please also remember Bangladeshis (East Pakistan) asked for, and received independence too, as did large swathes of Afghanistan.

What is it with Pakistanis wanting independence all the time ?

Pakistan was born because of that and now they are fighting in kashmir. The entire middle east is in turmoil over this issue. The problem though is that once they are given independence they then start fighting among themselves and it all descends into a dictatorship.
