    The motobility scheme does not provide a free car. Motobility allows you to lease/hire a vehicle, by spending your disability allowance. If you don't want the car, you still get the allowance.

    My mum's got one and it's not a stupid deal, something like £300/month IIRC which is in the same ballpark as buying on HP except they replace the car every few years and provide insurance, servicing, etc.

    It's breaking my heart spending a full 1K, I've got a perfectly good Vectra that would do the job for years yet but my Mrs is insisting she can't get 3 kids in it despite me demonstrating she can on numerous occasions.
