Love all the PC brigade piling on whoever said they freaked him out and suggested it wasn't normal. Being freaked out is a normal reaction because they are, in the truest possible sense of the word, freaks. It's an honest reaction to be taken aback initially - exactly as if you saw a black/white person for the first time in your life.
It's how you respond to that reaction which is important, not that you pretend it never happened.
