They should remove all rights for trade unions. No need for them.

I walk from the train station to my new site anyway. It'll make no difference to me.

Or is a)because they know how much attention it gets b) because they like causing a massive inconvience to the customers i.e. those that pay their wages or c) is it more simplistic - their union is run by the leftie Mr Crow ..
This one actually interested me a bit because it was about contractors claiming the same rights as TFL workers. It turns out that they're not contractors like us, rather employees of Tube Lines, which handles maintenance on a few of the lines. Tube Lines is a wholly owned subsidiary of TFL so it does seem a bit out of order that they're not getting the same perks as the people doing the same job on the other lines.

It's because the workers are the worst treated in the whole world. I mean, you might think that call centre workers based in Glasgow have it bad, but tube work is worse.

    But I'm going for c).

Yes. Mrs BP used to work in HK but live on Lamma. The disadvantage of that is the hippies on Lamma.

Get the boat anyway, it is much more civilised.

I switched to the Thames Clippers when the 2008 DLR 'improvement' works started making my previously easy DLR journey intolerable.

Much more comfortable and there is a bar on board!

    Oh bugger!
I don't have to get the Tube at the moment but it'll mean an unseemly scrum for the bus. Must sort out WFH.
