They failed with me today. I need, well as in want so will buy, a new laptop. Only real requirements are 8gb memory and decent screen resolution. Weight is not really a consideration but as the only mac choice is the17" model I'm order a Sony vaio z series as I type this.

I prefer having the vertical space available: I spend a lot of time coding so I want to see as many lines as possible, but I usually wrap lines around the 72 character mark, so I have plenty of horizontal space even with the Dock there.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostI don't get keeping the dock on the side like that, my wife does it too.
