Talk about fashion victim for someone who is supposedly heavily pregnant

It also looks like she's wearing a bad poncho.

I realise they're considered to be high fashion, but in all honesty I find them remarkably ugly, that thick sole bit looks bloody awful.

Mind you it looks like the hat's being held on with a nail banged into her forehead which is probably valid for the wearer (or the tattoo'd tosser she's married to for that matter).

I read a few years back that she's basically stuck in heels. Decades of constantly wearing high heels have shortened her achilles tendon, so that she can't wear flat shoes anymore - kind of like a positive feedback loop - the more she wears them, the more she has to wear them etc.

Probably tabloid BS, but makes a good story.

It does happen, I know of a few girls I worked with who found it painful to walk in flats as they had spent so long wearing heels. You have to find a good medium, I do the usual of wearing flats/comfy shoes on the way into work and avoid putting on my heels until I have a meeting.

It's not just the shortened tendons, your toes get damaged and mangled from being squished into high fashion shoes for long periods.

You can get high heeled slippers - well you use to be able to when I was a child in the 80s. My mum had a pair of them so I hunted them out when I was dragged to shoe shops...... Now you can buy them easily on ebay.

Anyway she should be able to walk normally.

I know a few people with Achilles injuries where they have ended up with shortened tendons. They have to do stretching exercises given to them by physios.

If the shoe fits - wear it.

I'm no fan of Mrs Beckham but the vitriol she has been subjected to (in certain sections of the press) is appalling. I thought she looked very understated and elegant.
