God it was then, or aliens.
Anyway, if the moon is hollow, it's simply more proof of global warming.

Radius of the sun 696,000. Radius of the moon 1,737.10km. Which is 401 times smaller than the Sun. Within the limits of error, 400 times is probably ok.

For example, the Moon revolves at exactly one hundredth of the speed that the Earth turns on its axis;
The moon rotates once every 27.32 days. The earth rotates once a day(!).
If you consider equatorial rotational speed, you get 16.7 kph against 1675 kph. But that's just the speed of a line around the earth. At the poles, the earth and moon rotate at exactly the same speed - i.e. zero.
The Moon is exactly 400 times smaller than the Sun.
Radius of the sun 696,000. Diameter of the moon 1,737.10km. Which is 401 times smaller than the Sun. Within the limits of error, 400 times is probably ok.
400 times closer to the Earth.
Average distance from Earth to the Sun - 150'000'000km.
Average distance from Earth to the Moon - 384'403km.
Which is 390 times closer. Which is almost exactly not 400
.
As far as the moon being hollow is concerned - well, not according to the seismic surveys . that gives a core of radius 350km. And if the moon was hollow it would require a crust of enormous density. But not as dense as the brains of the people who believe this nonsense. That kind of density makes a blackhole look like a pumice stone.

Issac Asimov wrote an essay dealing with this very thing. Although not quite as admirably bonkers...
The Tragedy of the Moon - Isaac Asimov - Review - Carried away by a moonlight shadow

As one of CUK's few experts on weird hippy bulltulip as seen from the perspective of a weird hippy, may I just say that this is a load of bollocks.
YMMV, etc.
