    2-4 lbs (1-2 kgs) a week is healthy, I'd say. Any more is overdoing it. Unless you were truly mahoosive to begin with, I suppose.

    As it happens I've dropped 6 pounds since Monday. Seem to be dropping two a day. Consuming 1200 calories and then walking. Did 3 hours clearing the shop earlier. I'd better be careful. I don't want to waste away.

    Why?

    If you want to eat an exact number of calories, protein, carbs, fat etc you need to weigh it out.

    I didn't get to the weight I am now by eating what I want! Oh. Actually I did.
