Thatchers Gold, Mmmmmm.

Pint of snakebite and black? Otherwise a weak lager (like 3%). But when it's really hot, a glass of cold lemonade is pretty wonderful.

Thatchers used to do an oak aged cider which was really nice, I think it may be done by wychwood now. Though the thatchers vintage is very nice. Bulmers is well, just, nasty stuff.Originally posted by gingerjedi View PostIn Somerset the sickly sweet stuff like Bulmers/Magners is known as a 'chicks drink', get some Thatchers Gold or Natch inside her.

Just poured out SY02 a pint of Bulmers Pear cider (with ice). She screwed up her nose and said it tasted like "White Lightening". Sheeesh, what's a guy to do.

I can't stand the stuff and for me the lemonade ruins a perfectly good pint.Originally posted by norrahe View PostNowt wrong with a bitter shandy.
Cold Guinness or a decent cider go down well here. A decent cup of Lapsang Souchong is excellent if I don't fancy alcohol.

A lager with lime top is a good summer tipple. Zerodegrees (small chain that brew their own) have currently got an elderflower beer - very nice on a hot day.
