Good grief I wouldn't spend more than about 4 grand on a new "second hand" car.
Replaced my 18 year old Nissan with a shiny new 10 year old Opel, 3.5 grand.
About right in my opinion.
..and then spend the money I save on a Chet Atkins special issue Gibson.
Priorities ...priorities
The guitarist in our band recently bought a 25 year old Golf...that's what I call getting your priorites right. At least his wife & kids don't have to get round on the bus any more.

That will explain why people pay a large premium for it.
HTH
Apparently the new Mondeo is almost as good, and if you consider the price differential it's better
What Car? says5 out of 5 stars
Family cars don't come any better than this. It's great to drive, smooth and comfortable to travel in, and has loads of space.Last edited by Bagpuss; 2 June 2009, 19:26.

It wasn't until lunchtime, when this same director headed over and climbed into a 735 Csi, that the penny dropped ......

Is it the pick of the engine range? Almost, but we're still enamoured with the incredible 320d. That engine delivers 175bhp, sprints 62mph in less than eight seconds and hits 142mph while still knocking on the door of 60mpg.
After a hefty rate cut I've just tried to sell my 07 plate back to the dealer. To say the salesman was disinterested would be an understatement since his head didn't even turn in my direction when he told me he "wasn't buying atm". I've bought 3 cars from these c unts over the last 4 years but that's the last bit of business they'll get from me. I hate people who are just plain rude Hope the ******* showroom burns down.
Auto Trader here I come.
