Sorry, but no, still don't see the need for it. Never been sent one or been asked for one.Originally posted by NotAllThere View Postvcard is a standard for electronic business cards, used by email, SMS, bluetooth. So, if you have a phone that's not an iPhone, I can text you my business card, and it will create an entry in your phone's address book.
The iPhone can handle it via email but not SMS. A small, but indicative failure.

Dunno, but yes I agree it would be a lot better if you could do it yourself.Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostDo they still solder the battery in to prevent it from being easily replaced? Still, £55 isn't too bad. Better would be if you could just slip in a new battery yourself.
They've started having non-replaceable batteries in their laptops too. They claim it's so they can fit more cells in (the 17" macbook pro have 8 or maybe 10) but I'm not convinced.

If that your one exception now? I think we might have a sale...Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostOne that can handle vcard format. The vast majority of phones on the market can handle this natively. But not the iPhone.

My biggest gripe - just about lasts a working day. If I'm going out, I have to charge it at work.Originally posted by Dandyman View Posthmm, it's impressive to start with, but the battery life is shocking,
But then I have 3G or wifi on all day, watch videos to & from work and generally give it a bit of a caning.
