            Is it for real??

Im in impression that Apple is only launching a new OS and there wont be any hardware change.

Would you like to share any reliable source?

El Reg had this which has links to other stuff

General opinion seems to be that they would be daft to go live with a major upgrade to the OS and not have new hardware available to go with it.

I don't have an iPhone, my phone takes and makes calls, texts, occasionally I browse t'internet. I don't fancy virtual pints etc.

It must be a generational thing
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

DYOR, but check Engadget & ArsTechnica for rumour repeats. If you believe the stories, there's a couple of new bits in the software that could only work with new hardware.

Personally, I don't really need a new iPhone but if they don't bring out a Netbook sized laptop I'm going to be forced to hackintosh a Dell Mini.
